The Gibson House is unique because it is the only historic home in Yolo County open to the public. The main themes of the museum are the establishment and development of farming and ranching in Yolo County during the Victorian era. The Gibson House is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

For a seminar through UC Davis, I was lucky enough to get a tour from the incredibly knowledgeable Museum Director! The house has a mix of recreations of Gibson room and rotating exhibits.
