Nestled on 3 acres adjacent to the Bosque River, the Stephenville Historical House Museum consists of 12 nineteenth century structures and historical exhibits. Buildings include several log cabins, a ranch house owned by John Tarleton (founder of Tarleton State University), a blacksmith shop, a rock cottage, a two-story Victorian house (under renovation), a chapel, and a school house.
